'Light at Ground Zero' Booksigning Event

Over four days in mid-October at St. Paul's Chapel, photographer Krystyna Sanderson will sign copies of her book, Light at Ground Zero, which showcases 100 photographs of the ministry of St. Paul's Chapel to ground-zero workers.

Sanderson's book of photography.
The event follows others book-signings at St. Paul's, in which the author A.B. Curtiss has autographed her book, The Little Chapel that Stood, which helps parents to explain the 9/11 attacks to children.

Sanderson also hopes her book will guide people toward understanding 9/11. She believes St. Paul's provided "a light that illuminates the darkness of disbelief, shock, grief and incomprehension." She hopes that her camera was an "instrument of God's radical grace" in the way it documented the eight-month ministry by volunteers from around the country.

Her book is organized as a photo essay interspersed with prayer and Scripture snippets.

Sanderson will appear at the chapel from 10 am to 5 pm Friday, October 10 through Monday, October 13. On Sunday, the chapel closes at 4 pm. On Monday, booksigning will stop from 1-2 pm, during a St. Paul's "Concert at One". The public is invited to a welcome reception on Friday, October 10, from 4-5:30 pm.
